Job Description Hourly Salary: $140/hr - $200/hr (varies depending on years of experience) Our client is a leading healthcare institution in Queens, NY, dedicated to providing high-quality mental health and addiction treatment services. Their behavioral health department is expanding, and they are seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Addictions Psychiatrist to join their team on a part-time basis. Position Overview The Part-Time Addictions Psychiatrist will provide comprehensive psychiatric and substance use disorder treatment to patients struggling with addiction and co-occurring mental health conditions. This role involves working within a multidisciplinary team to deliver evidence-based care, including medication-assisted treatment (MAT), psychotherapy coordination, and relapse prevention planning. Responsibilities Conduct psychiatric and substance use disorder evaluations, including diagnosis and treatment planning. Prescribe and manage medication-assisted treatment (MAT), including buprenorphine, methadone, and naltrexone. Develop integrated treatment plans for patients with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders. Work collaboratively with addiction counselors, social workers, therapists, and medical staff to ensure comprehensive, patient-centered care. Provide crisis intervention and relapse prevention strategies. Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic medical records (EMR). Participate in staff training, case discussions, and quality improvement initiatives related to addiction psychiatry. Qualifications MD or DO from an accredited medical school. Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry with subspecialty training or certification in Addiction Psychiatry (ABPN) or Addiction Medicine (ABPM). Valid New York medical license or eligibility to obtain one. Experience in inpatient, outpatient, or dual-diagnosis settings is highly desirable. Strong commitment to evidence-based addiction treatment and harm reduction. Please note- The annual base salary range is $150/hr to $200/hr. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things.
