Sunny Days Early Childhood Developmental Services, Inc. (Sunny Days) is a staffing agency that specializes in the areas of Early Intervention and Autism services; serving children with developmental needs from birth to three years of age. We provide a full range of services, including Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Speech Therapy and Special Education services. We currently have exciting Independent Contractor opportunities available for Speech Language Pathologists on our Targeted Evaluation Teams in Hudson and Bergen Counties in New Jersey. The TET is responsible for conducting developmental evaluations and assessments in all areas of development.


  • Perform BDI-2 standardized evaluations for initial, 6 mo. and annual eligibility to NJEIS, conduct discipline specific assessments, exit evaluations, and IFSPs following services.
  • Describe and document the use of informed clinical opinion in the decision making process in any written reports related to the evaluation/ assessment, eligibility and IFSP process.
  • Work as a team member, including families as active equal participants.
  • Review Family Direct Assessment (FDA) results prior to initial and annual IFSPs to help develop appropriate outcomes and strategies.
  • Attendance at all IFSP meetings.
  • Maintain clear communication with families and with all other TET members regarding recommendations for follow up, strategies to assist families to meet the needs of their child and to connect them to appropriate resources in the community.
  • Submission of all paperwork electronically in accordance with agency policies and procedures on a daily basis and then send original documents by mail once weekly.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of all shared verbal and written information gathered according to agency policy, NJEIS Code of Conduct and Procedural Safeguards requirements.
  • Demonstrate compliance with state-mandated training evaluation requirements, fidelity trainings, IFSP training, Procedural Safeguards modules and license renewals, certifications.
  • Attendance at TET monthly staff meetings.
  • Perform other duties as assigned/required.


  • New Jersey Speech Language Pathology (SLP) license
  • Early Intervention Experience
  • Pediatric Experience
  • Home Based Service Delivery Experience
  • Strong Clinical and Interpersonal Skills
  • Excellent Written and Oral Communication Skills
  • Prior Evaluation Team Experience preferred
  • BDI2 trained in NJEIS
