This role will work alongside other business analysts and report
directly to the Director of M&A integration. This role will
primarily be responsible for working closely with technology owners
from acquired companies to understand workflows, system
interactions, and dependencies across the acquired technology stack
and map these requirements into established Wiley standards. The BA
will also play a key role in user acceptance testing of
requirements that they helped to capture. To succeed in this role
the candidate should have an analytical, detailed mindset and be
able to explain difficult concepts to non-technical users. This
role will have a high likelihood of international travel.
How Will you make an Impact:-
Document processes and technologies in use by M&A targets
and map these into Wiley standards.
Evangelize Wiley processes, standards, and procedures to teams
acquired via M&A activities.
Determine operational objectives by studying business and
technical functions, gathering information, and evaluating output
Prepare reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing
information and trends.
Perform regular reviews of requirements for different teams.
Own Scrum Master responsibilities for the team.
Key Responsibilities for this position:
Take ownership of gathering requirements, documenting those
requirements, and working with project / program managers to create
appropriate epics and stories in JIRA.
Construct workflow diagrams and supporting documents
Work closely with colleagues acquired via M&A activities to
understand pain points due to legacy processes or technologies and
identify opportunities to ease these pains by migrating into Wiley
Work with backend teams to create migration strategies which
maximize value while minimizing disruptions to the business
Write user acceptance test cases and act as an expert tester on
integration related tasks
Work with the business to characterise and prioritize
improvements raised through user acceptance testing
Organize and plan work using Agile and Scrum principles
What we look for :-
Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology.
5 + years of experience as a business or systems analyst
Basic knowledge of technology infrastructure, ITSM, Infosec and
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Experience in establishing a customer relationship and creating
a pipeline for requirements.
Ability to influence technology and process changes.
Critical thinker with good judgment and initiative.
Strong attention to detail.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work independently and with others.
Extremely organized with strong time-management skills.
Provide timely task status reporting to leads.
