Job Description:
Ryder is seeking an experienced Transportation Manager to lead
and enhance the efficiency of our transportation operations. The
successful candidate will oversee our dedicated fleet services,
ensuring optimal routing, compliance, and safety while upholding
our commitment to innovation and high-quality service delivery.
This role requires strategic management skills and a deep
understanding of supply chain dynamics in the transportation
sector. As a leader at Ryder, you will play a pivotal role in
maintaining and improving our operation's effectiveness, ensuring
that goods are transported in the most efficient and cost-effective
manner. Manage daily operations of fleet services, ensuring
effective routing and scheduling to minimize costs and improve
delivery times. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal
transportation regulations and safety standards. Collaborate with
other departments to integrate logistics with company procedures
and operations. Analyze expenditure and financial reports to
develop plans to reduce operational costs. Implement strategic
plans for the acquisition, maintenance, and deployment of the
transport fleet. Supervise, train, and mentor transportation staff
and drivers. Monitor transport management systems and advance
technological solutions to enhance the efficiency of transportation
services. Strong leadership and team management skills Proficient
in transport management software Excellent logistical and
problem-solving skills Ability to work under pressure and adapt to
changing environments Strong budgeting and financial management
skills Excellent understanding of transportation regulations and
