Defect Senior Counsel - Commercial Litigation Position Overview The
Senior Counsel - Commercial Litigation will be responsible for
managing and overseeing complex commercial litigation matters, with
a focus on construction defect cases. This role requires a
strategic thinker with a strong background in litigation and a
proven track record in federal court. The Senior Counsel will
collaborate with internal stakeholders and external clients to
ensure effective legal representation and outcomes. Key
Responsibilities - Manage and oversee commercial litigation cases,
particularly in construction defect matters. - Develop and
implement effective litigation strategies. - Draft and review legal
documents including motions, pleadings, and discovery requests. -
Conduct depositions and prepare witnesses for testimony. -
Represent clients in federal and state court proceedings. -
Negotiate settlements and resolve disputes effectively. -
Collaborate with internal teams to provide legal guidance on
commercial matters. - Stay updated on changes in laws and
regulations impacting commercial litigation. Qualifications - Juris
Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. - Active bar
membership in the relevant jurisdiction. - Minimum of 7 years of
experience in commercial litigation, with a focus on construction
defects. - Proven experience in federal court litigation. - Strong
research, writing, and oral advocacy skills. - Ability to manage
multiple cases and prioritize effectively. - Excellent negotiation
and interpersonal skills. - For this position, you must be
currently authorized to work in the United States without the need
