Job Description:
At Amazon Web Services (AWS), a leader in providing innovative
cloud computing solutions globally, we are seeking a skilled
Cabling Infrastructure Technician to join our dynamic DCC
Communities team. This role is crucial for ensuring the physical
and systematic reliability of our vast data communications
networks. The technician will be responsible for the deployment,
maintenance, and optimization of various types of cabling systems,
including fiber optics and copper cabling infrastructures. This
position is ideal for someone passionate about technology
infrastructure and experienced in high-scale operations. Install,
maintain, and repair various types of cable systems including fiber
optics and copper. Perform thorough testing and troubleshooting of
cabling issues. Read and interpret floor plans, diagrams, and
technical specifications. Ensure compliance with industry standards
and safety protocols. Document technical details and maintain
accurate records. Collaborate with IT teams to support network
design and deployment. Participate in emergency on-call rotations
for critical issue resolution. Strong knowledge of structured
cabling systems, including fiber optics and copper cabling.
Proficient in using cabling tools and equipment. Ability to
interpret technical documents and drawings. Excellent
problem-solving skills. Strong communication and collaboration
capabilities. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance
Life Insurance 401k BICSI Technician certification strongly
preferred. OSHA Safety certification is a plus.
