Senior Web Developer - Build the Future of Bloomberg's WebCreate powerful, scalable solutions that empower teams across the company.Our Web UserX team focuses on building innovative and scalable Web Frontend solutions, enabling internal teams to deliver their products faster while maintaining a cohesive client experience. In parallel, we develop Web analytics solutions and guidance that help engineering and product teams make informed, data-driven decisions.Our engineers work collaboratively, drawing insights from internal research and interviews with engineering teams to drive impactful projects.We are looking for an engineer passionate about making a big impact by developing user-centric, company-wide solutions, with usability and accessibility at their core.What's in it for you:

  • Design, deliver, and promote standards, tools, and frameworks across our internal web community by building and expanding Bloomberg's Frontend libraries.
  • Improve our Web Analytics infrastructure, automate support processes, and guide Web teams on their analytics journey.
  • Adopt and champion best-in-class open-source technologies, with opportunities to contribute back to the community.
  • Identify gaps and opportunities within the team's focus areas and proactively propose new initiatives to address challenges.
  • Work across multiple engineering teams and collaborate with product managers and UX designers to deliver cohesive, high-quality user experiences.You'll need to have:
    • Mastery of ReactJS or another modern frontend framework.
    • Strong foundation in backend technologies like Node.js.
    • A designer's mindset, with a focus on creating clean, accessible, and delightful user experiences.
    • A proven track record of architecting scalable solutions that support large engineering organizations.
    • Natural curiosity and a hands-on approach to problem-solving.We'd love to see:
      • Prior experience building and maintaining a company-wide UI component library.
      • Experience developing self-service tools or internal platforms for developers.
      • Familiarity with DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines and automated testing.
      • Web server experience (e.g., NGINX).
      • A genuine passion for clean code, developer experience, and data-driven decision-making.Salary Range = 160000-240000 USD Annually+ Benefits + BonusThe referenced salary range is based on the Company's good faith belief at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as geographic location, work experience, market conditions, education/training and skill level.
