*Position Title:** Software Engineer (Integrations) **Location:** Hoboken, NJ (Hybrid) **Reports to:** Manager, Application Development Commerce **Job Description:** The Digital Technology team, within the eCommerce business unit, is responsible for the development and support of Newell Brands marketing and eCommerce websites globally, such as , , , , , , , and many others. The Digital Technology team operates in a fast-moving agile environment working with some of the most respected technology platforms and driving leading edge consumer-facing innovation for the company. In addition, the team is also responsible for enterprise web application development and enterprise systems integration projects. We are seeking a talented Software Engineer (Integrations) with expertise in modern API Integration development to join our smart, high-energy development team in crafting Newell Brands' digital platform and championing new technologies. This role will report to the Manager, Application Development Commerce. **Essential Duties:** The Software Engineer (Integrations) will be responsible for integration development activities working in partnership with front end developers. You will collaborate with architects, technical leads and peer developers (from internal teams, external contractors, and distributed vendors) as well as cross-functional partners (Program, Product, UX, QA, DevOps, MarTech, Architecture) to ensure alignment of acceptance criteria and feature capabilities. You will work on a team of engineers to implement modern, complex and interesting solutions to deliver features which enhance customer experience, integrate third-party functionality, expand accessibility and drive eCommerce. We value creativity, critical thinking, patience and teamwork. **Key Responsibilities:** + Design, develop and document modern integrations supporting a large portfolio of leading brand sites + Enhance DX (Developer Experience) by means of creating a robust API Catalog servicing multiple development teams globally + Contribute to delivering on all aspects of API Management + Develop integrations with external systems and third-party tools/libraries + Work collaboratively and independently within a geographically distributed team with both an onshore and offshore component to identify and solve technical challenges + Participate in the entire software lifecycle: requirements elicitation, planning, architecture, estimation, development, code review, testing, deployment, maintenance + Exemplify the vision, purpose, culture, and values (truth, transparency, teamwork and trust) that are the cornerstones of Newell Brands + Work within a SAFe Agile framework (i.e., PI's, sprints, standups, retrospectives, backlog refinement) utilizing Atlassian tools (Jira/Confluence) and participate in all related ceremonies + Plan and groom sprints with architects, developers and other stakeholders (Program, Product, QA) **Key Qualifications:** + Bachelor's degree in relevant fields (Computer Science, Engineering) + 3+ years of API or relevant integration experience servicing high demand web applications + 1+ years of relevant experience with API Management platforms (Apigee, Mulesoft preferred) + Experience in multiple integration technologies, including: SOAP; REST; GraphQL; Pub/Sub API's + Experience developing data integration solutions using bulk data integration tools and API's + Experience building scalable and highly available distributed systems + Knowledge of API Security methods such as TLS; OAuth; OpenID + Proficiency with Git, GitHub, and source control workflows + Solid organization skills, including time management and prioritization + High level of self-motivation and initiative, and the ability to quickly acquire proficiency with new skills + Excellent communication skills + Comfortable working through ambiguity **Preferred Experience:** + Experience working with large-scale teams in a website and eCommerce environment + Experience with progressively decoupled architecture and PWAs + Experience with MACH and Composable architectures Newell Brands (NASDAQ: NWL) is a leading global consumer goods company with a strong portfolio of well-known brands, including Rubbermaid, FoodSaver, Calphalon, Sistema, Sharpie, Paper Mate, Dymo, EXPO, Elmer's, Yankee Candle, Graco, NUK, Rubbermaid Commercial Products, Spontex, Coleman, Campingaz, Oster, Sunbeam and Mr. Coffee.
