Job Description:
As a Licensed Practical Nurse Practitioner (LPNP) at Headway,
you will be at the forefront of our mental health innovation,
providing compassionate and tailored nursing care to our patients.
Your role will be crucial in integrating clinical expertise with an
understanding of patient needs to assess, plan, implement, and
evaluate patient care plans in a psychiatric setting. Conduct
initial patient screenings and patient history reviews to
understand mental health status and needs. Implement nursing care
plans and administer medications as prescribed, ensuring compliance
with psychiatric treatment modalities. Collaborate with
psychiatrists, psychologists, and other health professionals to
optimize mental health treatment plans and outcomes. Monitor,
record, and report symptoms or changes in patients’ conditions.
Maintain complete and accurate patient records as per HIPAA
regulations. Educate patients and their families on mental health
and wellness strategies. Provide support and crisis intervention as
needed in the facility. Proficiency in psychiatric care procedures
and protocols. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to manage stress and maintain composure under pressure.
Knowledge of medication administration and health counseling.

Valid state license as a Licensed Practical Nurse. CPR
certification and additional certification in psychiatric nursing
is highly advantageous.
