We are looking for dedicated individuals to fill both our Bus Driver and Bus Aide position(s) to add to our growing team in the East Rutherford, NJ area. Job Type: Part-Time Work Schedule: Monday through Friday. Company Overview: Founded in 2005, ASun Star provides services to individuals (adolescent, adult) and families within the home, school, and community. We utilize a strength-based approach and are dedicated to helping our families succeed within their respective community. We strive to help each individual to be "their biggest star" by striving towards their fullest potential and accomplishing goals that they have identified. We specialize in working with at-risk families and individuals diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Responsibilities: Responsible for picking up and delivering participants during a normal shift within a tight time-window. Responsible for complying with ALL traffic and company regulations. Complete all pre and post shift activities to ensure the safety of all passengers, bus aides, and staff. Ensure the timely transportation of all assigned routes are completed on time and safely. Requirements: Minimum Job Qualifications: Must have proven experience as a driver of passenger vehicles. Must be able to pass pre-employment requirements including drug screening and background check. Must have a safe driving record. Preferred Qualifications: Possesses a valid Class A or B CDL license or permit. The qualified candidate will possess passenger and school bus endorsements as well. ASun Star and APlatinum transportation will provide CDL preparation to help you attain your CDL licensure as well as the satisfactory accumulation of any further requirement to get you through on-boarding. Knowledge, skills, abilities and other characteristics required: Working knowledge of sprinter-sized vans or mid-level transportation vehicles needed. Good customer service skills. Patient, responsible, assertive, and understanding demeanor.
