The Team:

The Finance team is responsible for protecting the Company's financial assets, mitigating financial risks and reporting the financial position of the company to business stakeholders. The department is comprised of four main pillars: Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), Accounting, Treasury & Inventory Control.

The Opportunity:

In a context of fast development, Hermes of Paris is creating a function of a Director of Procurement covering indirect purchases.

Indirect purchases include fields as varied as IT, energy, transport, logistics, communication, temporary work, recruitment, training, packaging, insurance, real estate, telecommunications, cleaning, security, intellectual services (consulting fees,) or travel.

About the Role:

  • Define and deploy a comprehensive purchasing strategy within the Company and aligned with Group indirect purchases objectives.
  • Study, animate and manage the creation of indirect purchasing synergies, qualitatively and quantitatively, between the different Departments of the Company.
  • Provide the benefit of their skills and experience to all Departments:
    • Proposing ways of optimization.
    • Managing calls for tenders, in coordination with local departments: research of potential suppliers, creation of specifications and consultation documents, negotiation, contracting.
    • Developing common tools (specifications, evaluation grids, market analysis, etc.
    • Supporting the implementation of good purchasing practices
    • Offering technical support for local stakeholders on the tools put in place
    • Create value by generating relevant savings and improving the quality of products and goods purchased;
    • Promote the development of sustainable development actions in the respect of Hermes values
    • Define and coordinate a reporting of the actions carried out in the Company: calls for tenders, referencing of new suppliers
    • Coordinate the implementation of quality standards for goods and services purchased
    • Maintain a mindset of long-term partnership and respect for suppliers:
      • Ensuring the proper execution of contracts by suppliers
      • Setting up and producing an annual review of activity and supplier contracts: audit, performance indicators, quality controls.
      • Secure the indirect purchases within a framework of compliance procedures (in accordance with local practices/regulations and Group guidelines) in collaboration with Internal Control Department.

              • Bachelor's degree or above in purchasing or related discipline
              • 5-10 years working experience in purchasing function
              • Very good interpersonal skills, ability to have a vision for the function and to positively influence the organization to achieve its objectives
              • Fluent English both in oral and written. French is a plus.
              • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint

                The range for this position is $105,899.00 - $176,499.00 annually. Actual rates are determined based on the job, location, and individual experience.
