Job DescriptionOperations ManagerThe School of Systems and
Enterprises seeks qualified candidates for the position of
Operations Manager to support the day-to-day operations within the
Dean's Office and under the supervision of the Assistant Dean. The
Operations Manager must handle confidential material with tact and
discretion; provide excellent customer service; demonstrate
exceptional judgment and interpersonal skills; manage high-volume,
challenging, and often time-sensitive priorities; and follow
through on projects with great attention to detail and high-quality
results.Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Serve as a principal point of contact for SSE operational
inquiries, requests, and issues
- Manage SSE space inventory, space schedules, and seating
assignments
- Manage data related to human resources, students, personnel,
space, IT, policies, and procedures
- Manage SSE SharePoint files
- Develop, document, and implement operational policies and
procedures
- Gather and conduct research, analyzing information and data and
presenting findings in a concise format. -
- Oversee travel for faculty/staff and provide guidance in
navigating Concur.
- Coordinate internal and external events.
- Assist with special projects as needed. Qualifications -and
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in business, public policy, science,
engineering, education, or related field or equivalent combination
of education, training, and experience. Master's degree
preferred.
- 3-5 years' experience in higher education or related
industry.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and streamline processes.
- Detail-oriented with solid analytical and problem-solving
skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as cooperatively in a
team environment.
- Knowledge of practices and processes for providing customer and
personal services.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, with aptitude to learn new
software and systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
