My client is looking for an exceptional Chief Operating Officer!This is an exciting opportunity to oversee new and existing investments, analyzing business structures, and assisting with new joint ventures. The COO will seek to continually systemize operations and ensure necessary financial information in real time through collaboration with the Operations Manager, Bookkeepers, and Construction Project Managers.The COO will be responsible for running the entire operation by hiring and mentoring appropriate supporting staff. To succeed in this role the ideal candidate must have a solid finance background as well as be a multi-tasking problem solver with a strong entrepreneurial mindset. One must also be comfortable working alone with a strong internal drive for success.We're looking for the best and the brightest! • Oversee the direct operational and financial success of the company's real estate portfolio, including all existing and future investments and developments, acting as the key individual reporting to ownership
• Create, organize, and track timelines of all current inventory and future business development activities. Reporting to ownership on key decision points along the critical paths of each project
• Oversee all hiring needs, communicate job expectations, monitor and appraise performance
• Evaluate and manage company finances including the generation of annual budgets for each entity for board review and approval, forecasting, schedule expenditures, analyze variances and initiate corrective action
• Report monthly financial results and key performance indicators
• Develop, implement, evaluate, and enforce company policies and procedures
• Increase revenue sources by considering creative ancillary businesses, strategic partnerships, and raising capitalRequired skills, knowledge, and experience:
  • 10 years of demonstrated experience with real estate financial and operational management
  • Proven ability to establish credibility and be decisive, make decisions that recognize and support the organizations preferences and priorities
  • Proven ability to recruit, train, and motivate personnel with an effort to balance staffing strength with profitability and growth
  • Experience creating and implementing operating budgets
  • Proficient with QuickBooks
  • Ability to create comprehensive financial modeling through Excel
  • Must be discreet and maintain confidentialityPreferred Characteristics:
