The VP of Labor Relations position is for you, if you would
Establishing and maintaining effective employee/labor relations for
all union relationships and locations
Leading the labor initiatives to ensure compliance with all
applicable federal, state, and local laws and lead collective
Formulating and administering labor relations policies and
represent the Company before federal, state, and local entities on

Labor Relations to:
Lead collective bargaining and grievance and arbitration
Define and articulate the organization's strategies for proactive
employee and labor relations.
Develop and deliver labor relations training to all levels of the
Develop strategies to resolve problematic employee situations and
employee relations issues.
Maintain awareness of new and current employee/labor rules from
applicable government bodies.
Manage all Collective Bargaining Agreements proactively and
professionally, maintaining an accurate account of the details of
each CBA allowing for budgeting, planning and management.
Partner with HR Team Members to implement Benefits and Compensation
programs for Union Team Members.
Collaborate with Operations and HR Business Partners to effectively
manage hiring, employee discipline and terminations to avoid
grievances and arbitration.
Planning and budgeting coordination with Finance for all CBA
Ability to write and interpret contract language.
Solid understanding of discrimination laws.
Ability to persuade and lead VP's and above in all labor relations
VP of Labor Relations Required Qualifications:
7-10 Years of Labor Relations Experience
Multi-State, Multi Union Experience
Retail Experience Preferred
Experienced in knowing NLRB rules and responding to NLRB charges is
Extensive Collective Bargaining experience
Ability to Communicate at all levels within the organization
Ability to make decisions and solve problems while working under
Ability to work with confidential and sensitive information in a
Adaptable and collaborative work style
Ability to present at arbitration (at least 10-15 cases handled
with good results)
Chief spokesperson at 20-30 contract negotiations (both small and
multi million dollar contracts)
Ability to respond to EEOC complaints and skilled at
Ability to use computer to write letters, write contracts, and

Strong communication skills for both large and small groups
Strong analytical skills and ability to find creative solutions to
