The Marketing Analytics team at Newell Brands will have a highly
strategic role in shaping the way we measure and optimize
cross-channel marketing campaigns. We create tools, frameworks, and
deep insights that inform marketing strategies, and track
performance of marketing campaigns against expectations and their
impact on the growth of our business. The work the team delivers is
driven by the business needs for strategic customer understanding,
and includes marketing channel performance, customer journey
mapping, customer segmentation, and overall marketing impact on key
business metrics.
In this highly visible role, you will help plan and execute
marketing campaign measurement across all marketing channels,
campaigns, and sponsorships & partnerships. This role will work
closely with cross functional teams to help inform campaign KPIs,
evaluate investment efficiency, build reporting, as well as manage
our internal and external analytics tools. A balance of analytical
skills as well as strong organization and communication skills is
key. Extensive knowledge of marketing and media channels is
required.

Specific responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Collaborate with Marketing teams to identify business objectives,
define and implement appropriate strategies to achieve goals.
Collaborate with IT and Marketing teams on digital marketing data
management; ensure all activities are accounted for and fed
appropriately through the data pipeline; advise IT on structural
data changes needed for continuous improvement of analytics
Forecast and develop strategies, campaigns, and tests to run to
drive optimization.
Leverage analytical methods and data science techniques to analyze
large data sets and translate insights into actionable
recommendations for a business audience
Develop scalable models/algorithms to uncover trends, patterns, and
insights in marketing performance.
Detect, monitor, and forecast trend forces utilizing data sets from
multiple sources (both traditional and digital specific)
Key stakeholder in driving new thinking around marketing
measurement and direction for the broader marketing
organization.
Identify and track KPI's, based on stated objectives for marketing
campaigns. - Provide actionable insights and socialize
findings.
Design a holistic approach for marketing analysis and reporting
across any/all channels (digital or traditional) to deliver clear,
concise, and reliable reporting on key activities to the marketing
team and the organization's leadership team.
Analyze paid marketing programs and campaigns to optimize traffic,
conversion, search, sales and ROAS, based on stated goals.
Explain and train organization on existing and new marketing
analytics tools and strategies.
Continually evaluate new systems and tools to simplify and automate
workflows and to keep abreast of best practices in the data
analytics space
Partner with other analytics leaders to promote a culture of
data-driven decisions making and assist in the development of
analytical talent throughout the organization
Key Interfaces: Digital Marketing, eCommerce Planning, Direct to
Consumer, Sales, & Finance (Role will also regularly interface with
our third-party vendors).

Key Qualifications:
The successful candidate will be a proven business leader with
experience working in a fast-paced, matrixed organization. - They
must be a strong communicator and have a sharp analytical approach.
- They must have both strong strategic capabilities and be hands-on
and comfortable with tactical execution. - -
Previous analytics leadership experience and technical
qualifications:
6+ year experience deriving insights and optimizing investment with
diverse digital advertising platforms such as:
Amazon Marketing (AMS, DSP), Walmart (WMC), Target (Roundel)
Paid Search vehicles (Google AdWords, Bing Ads, etc.)
Paid Social (Pinterest, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Snapchat)
Email, Retargeting, and Affiliate marketing vehicles
Experience in market research/insights/analytics, business
intelligence, competitive intelligence, or other similar
functions.
Experience/familiarity with modeling and analytical methodology
including, but not exclusively, longitudinal analyses, multi-level
modeling and multivariate analyses of variance.
Experience with SQL. - Advanced skills with all Microsoft Office
Software for the creation of management reports, presentations, and
analysis.
Experience Ingesting output from Market Mix Modeling (or similar
models) and synthesizing with other media funnel KPIs.
Experience with any Business Intelligence & reporting tools such as
Power BI, Qlik, Tableau
Strong understanding of retail analytics and financial processes
(forecasting, ROI analysis, etc.).
Conceptual thinker with proven problem-solving skills with the
ability to see the "big picture".
Excellent communication skills (written and oral) - ability to turn
data and analytics into actionable insights through
communication.
