Pure Power is seeking an experienced marketing professional to join our team and contribute towards all aspects of marketing. This role provides a terrific opportunity to make an impact in a rapidly growing solar power industry and work collaboratively and cooperatively with various team members and clients. This mid-level marketing role will work directly with our Vice President of Operations. The ideal candidate is an experienced marketing professional that leads our marketing initiatives, can make data-driven decisions, manage our CRM, and take steps to improve sales revenue.

Pure Power is an engineering firm specializing in designing big, challenging, and high-profile Solar PV systems. As a full-service engineering firm, we create the electrical and structural drawings and calculation packages for bidding, permits, and construction, as well as supporting the lead up to the full engineering drawings, primarily interconnection support and electrical/structural feasibility studies.

Responsibilities
As a starting point, the Marketing Manager will need to gain full understanding of the vision, values and direction of the Pure Power strategy and culture. Self-perform where possible. As needed, hire, and manage consultants (web development, graphic arts, photography, videography) that will implement the strategy developed by our team.

Strategy
Define target markets & segments.
Develop buyer personas and customer journey maps.
Determine value propositions and points of differentiation for targeted segments & personas.
Shape the brand positioning and narrative.
Ensure marketing strategies align with overall business strategy.

Market Research
Research markets/states (existing and new/upcoming) across the USA.
Find companies and contacts in those new markets, obtain contact info.
Competitive intelligence - finding out what or how our competitors offer their services
Lead Generation
-- Self-researched, inbound leads (from website, social), acquired lists (paid or free)
-- Enter leads into CRM, de-dup, assign to salesperson
-- Evaluate metrics on various lead generation methods

Digital Marketing
Prospect nurturing via newsletters and email marketing automation
Website
-- Design and launch new website
-- Update copy on web pages and add videos
-- SEO & keywords, paid search (PPC, AdWords, etc.) and landing pages
Social Media
-- LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, etc.
-- Post content across all platforms
-- Find prospects and leads, invite to follow the company
Obtain testimonials, references, and client satisfaction surveys

Marketing Content and Collateral
Content generation
-- Post about recent projects, news, new hires, etc.
-- Provide support to engineers and staff drafting technical articles
Photography
-- Employee head shots
-- Photos of engineers working in the office/field and completed projects
Videography
-- Turn existing written blog articles into videos
-- Create videos about the company, experience, culture, latest news, etc.
-- Produce webinars
Graphic Design for:
-- Website and use in videos
-- Collateral
-- Blog articles, news posts, newsletters
Collateral
-- PowerPoint sales presentation
-- Statement of Qualifications
-- Case Studies

CRM and Analytics
Pipeline Management
-- Enhance pipeline tracking systems for leads and opportunities
-- Identify daily/weekly activity metrics for each stage of the pipeline to ensure a consistent flow of won opportunities through the funnel
-- Actively manage the pipeline, knowing where to apply more effort each week to keep the flow balanced through the pipeline
-- Lead result meetings to review the BD Profitability %'s for open opportunities to update and close stale opportunities
-- Create goals for weekly/monthly/annual activities and sales, report on the results and variance
Sales and Revenue Forecasting
-- Evaluate past data to determine trends and ratios of activities to outcomes
-- Establish closed-loop feedback from sales back to marketing, and continually refine our process
-- Determine average lifecycles of sales and revenue, length of time to close the sale, start the work, all the way through to invoicing and collection
-- Responsible for developing sales and revenue forecasts using data to drive recommendations and decisions
Reporting & Dashboards
-- Develop/improve sales dashboards and reports
-- Use the tools to influence sales team's weekly/monthly activitiesRequired Qualifications

5+ years of marketing and content creation experience.
CRM or Microsoft Dynamics experience.
Previous experience working within a small to mid-sized organization.
Exceptional writing and editing skills, as well as the ability to adopt the style, tone, and voice of our business' diverse types of content.
Excellent organizational skills, work independently and manage projects with multiple moving parts.
Flexible, creative, and able to work in a fast-paced work environment.
Demonstrated capacity to think outside the box, communicate and motivate customers on the company's products, programs, and innovative ideas.
Excellent customer relationship skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Understands engineering & installation of solar PV systems.
Bachelor's degree in business or related field preferred.
Proven experience with Adobe, Photoshop, or other content creation platforms.


Location
This position will be based out of our exciting downtown Hoboken, NJ Headquarters with the flexibility to work a hybrid in-office and work-from-home weekly schedule. We are next to public transportation options from NYC and Northern NJ. We also provide a private parking spot for the days when an employee wishes to drive to the office.
