Leveraging its vast network of physicians and healthcare experts, CarePoint is quickly becoming recognized as a leader in the broader healthcare landscape as it pioneers creative solutions to address urgent population health needs.What You'll Be Doing:The Director of Human Resources is responsible for the overall administration, coordination, evaluation, and supervision of the Human Resources function at the hospital. The successful incumbent will consult and collaborate with the Chief Hospital Executive, Senior Leadership Team, and frontline management across the full spectrum of Human Resources issues. The Director ensures the Human Resources team is capable of meeting the highest standards of customer service and leverages personal knowledge of Human Resources content and best practices to assure thorough execution of the hospital's People strategy.The successful candidate will be able to:Direct the Human Resources function including, but not limited to: compensation practices, employee and labor relations, change management, performance management, employee engagement, training and development, policy and procedure development, and onboarding; the incumbent will partner with the Talent Acquisition team to ensure staffing needs are being supported and addressedPartner with the leadership team to formulate, develop, implement and evaluate appropriate Human Resources and Talent Management strategy to achieve the hospital's mission, vision, and goalsParticipate as a member of the hospital senior leadership team and assist in the development of programs and services that will enhance the effective utilization of its human resourcesManage and resolve complex employee and labor relations issues for union and non-union staff through fair and consistent policy/contract interpretation to mitigate risk and liabilityDesign and facilitate talent reviews and succession planning efforts; work with business leaders to identify needs, develop strategies, and ensure development plans and programs are put into practiceManage a team of Human Resources professionals by creating an engaging, collaborative environment in which team members have clear goals, are inspired to deliver their best work, and are coached and developed to maximize their potentialPartner with Corporate Human Resources to implement system-wide initiatives and programsLead labor relations, which includes handling grievances, union negotiations, and developing positive relationships with union representatives/delegatesEstablish appropriate metrics and tracking mechanisms to build accountability, measure results, evaluate trends, and optimize the impact of Human Resources strategies; including develop reports and recommendations for executive-level meetings and decision-makingFoster an environment that promotes a positive employee experience, and delivers strong employee engagementAct as a Culture Champion and Change agentConduct training on Human Resources policies and programsEnsure all organizational activities and operations comply with local, state and federal regulations, including Department of Health and The Joint Commission standardsPerform any and all other duties as assignedWhat We're Looking For and What We Offer:Bachelor's degree required, Master's Degree preferredMinimum of 10+ years' of progressive experience in Human Resources5 years' of experience in labor relationsAt least 5 years' of experience managing team/sAny of the following certifications preferred: PHR, SHRM-CP, SPHR, SHRM-SCPWorking knowledge of labor laws and regulationsStrong business acumen and ability to pick up concepts quicklyAbility to contribute at a strategic level, while also willing to jump in and help at a tactical level when necessaryStrong verbal and written communication skillsDemonstrated cultural sensitivity and customer serviceAbility to figure things out on your own, confidence, and competence to communicate with all levels of managementProven experience with business process design and automationTech savvyWhat We Offer: ---Competitive pay ---Medical, dental, and vision insurance ---401k with Company match ---Generous paid time off ---Paid Holidays ---Tuition Reimbursement ---Advancement and career development opportunities Covid-19 and Influenza Vaccinations are a requirement for employment at CarePoint Health.
