They offer a diverse andflexible environment with opportunities for career growth as well asexcellent benefits.As a result of continued growth, our client is currently seeking aMunicipal Project Manager in the following locations: Cherry Hill andSecaucus, NJ, and Lehigh Valley/Allentown, PA.The Municipal Project Manager will design and/ormanage a variety of infrastructure projects (owned by municipalitiesand local school districts) and will report directly to the Directorof Engineering & Planning for Municipal Services. Such projectsshall include roads, underground utilities, public buildings,recreational facilities, and land use applications submitted byprivate developers. Responsibilities :
    • Act as the client manager to one or more municipalities or otherpublic agencies. The client manager will act as the single point ofcontact between the firm and the client. He/she will supervise andcoordinate all projects performed in the firm on behalf of theclient, to the client's satisfaction.
    • Develop or implement engineering solutions to assist clients withimproving and maintaining their infrastructure.- Design transportation, utility, facility, or hydraulic systems orstructures (as appropriate) using computer assisted design or drawing tools.- Compute load and grade requirements, water flow rates, or materialstress factors to determine design specifications.- Estimate quantities and cost of materials, equipment, or labor todetermine project feasibility.- Analyze survey reports, maps, drawings, blueprints, aerialphotography, or other topographical or geologic data.- Conduct studies of traffic patterns or environmental conditions toidentify engineering problems and assess potential project impact.- Perform all design activities ensuring compliance withenvironmental, safety, or other governmental regulations.- Identify environmental risks and develop risk management strategiesfor projects.
      • Attend regularly scheduled public meetings (conducted by Municipalclients) in the capacity of Municipal Engineer, or Land Use BoardEngineer. Prepare and present public reports on topics such as bidproposals, project status reports and developmental review projects.Experience and Skills: Requirements :
        • Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering (any discipline) from anaccredited four-year college or university
        • PE License Required & Valid Driver's License
        • 5-10 years of experience; Municipal Engineering experiencepreferred but not required
        • Strong oral and written communication skills
        • Ability to make public presentations
        • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, anddraw conclusions to present to co-workers and clients.
        • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
        • Knowledge of computer aided design software
        • Ability to work in groups as well as individuallyPhysical Demands and Working Environment:While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionallyworks in the field and may be exposed to outside weather conditions.Work requires frequent and prolonged computer use.
