Job DescriptionQA Engineer Global fintech leader has an
immediate need for a QA Engineer to join their world class team of
technologists in a full time role. This is your chance to join an
industry leading provider of market data, analytics, technology
solutions, platforms and trade exectuion services including both
equities and fixed income. Clients include banks, insurance
companies, pension and hedge funds, asset managers, energy
producers and refiners as well as risk and compliance managers and
charitiesAs the QA Engineer you will: Contribute your QA skills and
experience to the delivery of projects and initiatives Collaborate
with internal and external teams, identify and solve complex
problems and review related information to evaluate and develop
solutions. Coordinate test activities across multiple projects and
product streams to develop and execute coherent, achievable and
realistic test execution plans Ensure deliverables (such as user
stories & requirements) that provide input in to test execution are
completed to a consistent level of detail Define test project
scope, goals and deliverables to support the business initiatives
Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and
stakeholders in a timely, clear and concise manner Communicate with
the wider technology teams to coordinate interdependencies and
resolve issues such as environment readiness Liaise with test
management to support the implementation of testing strategies
Management and collaboration of the UAT process Assist and
facilitate prioritization of software defects and enhancements
using defect management tools such as Jira Introduce and adopt
Agile development principles where possible Introduce test
automation techniques where possible and contribute to test
automation strategies and execution Partner with developers and dev
team to develop unit and automated system integration tests Develop
test execution packs and test strategies Knowledge & Experience
Understanding of Financial Services industry in two of the
following areas would be a plus: Interest Rate Derivatives,
Commodities, Futures, Fixed Income, Credit, Equities, FX.
Experience of working in a financial or trading organization, with
an understanding of financial instruments and transactional data
modelling. Key Skills Experience with Selenium Web-Driver. Ability
to create scripts using Java or Python. Ability to work on multiple
tasks whilst managing multiple deadlines and priorities Ability to
self-start, identify tasks required independently to fulfil project
deliverables and work as a team member Knowledge of electronic
trading platforms, FIX protocol and experience with FIX testing
would be a plus. Understanding of the full project lifecycle from
requirements capture through to implementation and delivery
Experience working with Cloud Architectures and cloud based
solutions. Good understanding of microservice architectures and
patterns Experience with Agile such as Scrum, Safe, Kanban,
methodologies Strong understanding of Messaging and System
integration, Meta Data and associated modelling tools. Ability to
produce design documentation in a clear, accurate and concise
manner Ability to develop new skills and understand new technology
Service Oriented Architecture Strong understanding of
Agile/Waterfall development methodologies Communicates effectively
and efficiently to internal and external stakeholders Build
relationships and networks with both internally and external
stakeholders Ability to work with diverse groups/ personalities
Excellent attention to detail, highly organised with a proactive
approach Strong analytical ability and problem solving skills
