Job Description Job Description Master's degree in
Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1 year of
Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do
not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A Contract
Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available at a high
school in Waterbury, CT, serving approximately 60 students
alongside a partnering SLP. This full-time role offers an
opportunity to support adolescent students speech and language
development in a school setting, with flexibility for part-time or
hybrid schedules. The assignment runs from the start as soon as
possible through the end of the school year. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language assessments, interventions, and
support tailored to high school students needs - Collaborate with
educators, parents, and the partnering SLP to develop and implement
individualized education plans (IEPs) - Utilize knowledge of
augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices to assist
students with complex communication needs - Monitor student
progress and document outcomes in compliance with relevant
regulations Preferred Qualifications: - Certification as a
Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with CCC credentials preferred -
Prior experience working with high school-aged students -
Familiarity with AAC devices and their application in speech
therapy - Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills
Location:Waterbury, Connecticut serving a high school environment
