Salary: $90,000 - $180,000 per year A bit about us: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Estimator to join our team in the Commercial Roofing division. As a Senior Estimator, you will play a crucial role in our company's continued success and growth. You will utilize your expertise in CAD, roofing, and project and cost estimating to develop comprehensive, accurate, and competitive bids for a variety of commercial roofing projects. Why join us? Job Details Responsibilities: 1. Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for commercial roofing projects from preliminary drawings and specifications. 2. Analyze and interpret architectural drawings and technical specifications to understand the scope of work to bid. 3. Use CAD software to create roofing designs and layouts. 4. Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to gather pricing information. 5. Collaborate with the project management team to develop project schedules and plans. 6. Conduct site visits and attend pre-bid meetings to ensure accurate understanding of project conditions and requirements. 7. Present prepared estimates to clients and stakeholders, explaining and defending cost estimates as needed. 8. Continuously monitor industry trends and pricing to ensure our company remains competitive. 9. Participate in contract negotiations, change order discussions, and project hand-off meetings. Qualifications: 1. A minimum of 5 years of experience as an estimator in the commercial roofing or construction industry. 2. Proven expertise in CAD, roofing, project estimating, cost estimating, and estimating. 3. Exceptional analytical and mathematical skills, with a strong attention to detail. 4. Proficient in using estimating software and technology. 5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and persuasively. 6. Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain professional relationships. 7. Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and handle multiple projects simultaneously. 8. Knowledge of relevant construction laws and regulations. 9. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
