Job Description:
H&K Group, Inc., an esteemed leader in the construction
materials industry since 1968, seeks an experienced Senior Heavy
Civil Estimator/Project Manager to join our dynamic team. This role
is critical in overseeing the estimation and project management for
heavy civil construction projects, ensuring both competitiveness
and profitability while upholding our commitment to quality and
precision. The ideal candidate will bring a robust background in
civil engineering, exceptional analytical skills, and a track
record of successful project leadership in the construction sector.
Evaluate project plans and specifications to prepare detailed,
accurate cost estimates for heavy civil construction projects.
Liaise with project stakeholders to gather key project information,
assess potential risks, and devise mitigation strategies.
Coordinate and oversee project execution to ensure adherence to
specifications, schedules, and budgets while ensuring compliance
with safety and quality standards. Manage subcontractor selection,
negotiation, and performance, ensuring contractual conditions are
met. Maintain ongoing communication with clients, contractors, and
team members to ensure project objectives, timelines, and customer
satisfaction are achieved. Assist in the preparation of bids,
presentations, and proposals, bringing technical expertise and
strategic insights. Monitor project progress and implement changes
where necessary to guarantee successful project completion. Provide
leadership and mentorship to project team members, fostering a
collaborative and productive work environment. Proven expertise in
cost estimating and project management within the heavy civil
sector. Strong analytical and mathematical skills. Excellent
communication and interpersonal skills. Proficient with estimating
software (e.g., HCSS, Bluebeam) and MS Office Suite. Ability to
read and interpret construction drawings and technical documents.
Medical Insurance 401k PE (Professional Engineer) license
preferred. Certified Construction Manager (CCM) or similar
certification advantageous.
