About the Role:
The People Reporting & Analytics Lead will establish and execute the overall strategy for talent analytics including strategic and standard reporting. This includes practices, tools, technology and the team required to provide actionable information and insights about our people to drive rewarding employee experience, and business success
He or she will partner closely with People Leadership, IT (Information Technology), People Technology teams, and the business to build the systems infrastructure required to collect and analyze People data, offer actionable analysis and reporting to managers and executives, and will interface with the People Organization to enable them to meet their business objectives through data and analytics. This role will also be responsible for developing and delivering the roadmap to bring predictive analytics that will compel specific business decisions.
The ideal candidate is a proven subject matter expert and team leader who enjoys digging in both tactically and strategically. They will play a vital, hands-on role in developing and leading the People Reporting & Analytics team, tools and technology evolution, and leveraging best practices in the industry to enhance the overall user experience, while driving positive outcomes through data insights.
Responsibilities

  • Establish and execute the People Analytics vision and strategy
  • Provide strategic support to the People Organization in people metrics, reporting, and advanced predictive analytic capabilities.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts across the People service areas (learning and development, recruiting, talent management, diversity, compliance, employee relations) to promote and improve overall strategic and operational performance and insight.
  • Build partnerships and work closely with internal technology teams and vendors to deliver reporting tools and system solutions, provide monthly review and assessment of the business solution performance and adoption.
  • Identifies and supports the business reporting and data needs, initiates and prioritizes reporting tool enhancement, and prepares report and reporting solution specifications to improve the overall end-user experience and usability of reporting solutions
  • Designs and implements self-service reporting tools, including training plans to educate users on new reports and enhancements
  • Designs and implements dashboards that present data in a meaningful and actionable framework for leadership, supporting key strategic reporting initiatives including materials for the Board of Directors and Executive Leadership team
  • Interprets employee data to identify significant differences, relationships, and trends in data, as well as factors that could affect the results to further research
  • Develops predictive models for attrition, high performance, and recruiting
  • Identifies statistical analysis techniques required to deliver insights
  • Advances the use of complex analytical techniques and statistical thinking across the People Organization
  • Creates and ensures quality assurance of key People reports, and metrics
  • Develops and maintains appropriate benchmarks with other organizations
  • Establish the strategy for technology and analytical tools to develop and analyze enterprise-wide people and other cross-functional data as needed.
  • Serve as an active participant on cross-functional project teams and provide guidance and training to teams in asking appropriate questions, interpreting data, and translating into action.
  • Clearly tie People analytics to business objectives and outcomes.
  • Initiate broad strategy for Business Intelligence that includes project intake, visualization tools, quality assurance and adoption
  • Partner with colleagues and customers to achieve meaningful discussions regarding data outputs and feedback on usage activities to improve People data output
  • Improve upon current reporting standards by providing new functionality including canned reports, dashboards, predictive analysis, emailed reports, and mobile reporting capability
  • Communicates reporting & analytics roadmap to leadership and key customers; leverages recognized technical and business expertise to influence, guide, and shape business strategy and decision-making
  • Manages and coaches the reporting team to improve the standard of delivery and support career growth within the Analytics and Reporting space
    Requirements:
    • Deep knowledge and experience with Workday advanced reporting, analytics, prism and discovery boards
    • Experience with Business Intelligence solutions; preferably Power BI (Business Intelligence)
    • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategy
    • Deep technical hands-on expertise in data analytics, data visualization, business intelligence, and reporting
    • Prior experience in data modelling to support creation of advanced analytics, BI toolsets, and automated reporting (including experience with SQL preferred)
    • Strong analytical acumen, intellectual curiosity, creativity, a proven work ethic, and solid communication skills.
    • Excellent consultative skills, understanding business needs and translating those needs to technical requirements. Clear communication with business and technical leaders.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Strong leadership skills, including coaching, team building, and conflict resolution.
    • Proven ability to define and drive standards and governance
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Ability to effectively communicate Strategy, architectures, plans, proposals, and results, and negotiate options with senior leaders

It is anticipated that most qualified candidates will fall within the range, however the ultimate salary offered for this role may be higher or lower and will be set based on a variety of non-discriminatory factors, including but not limited to, geographic location, skills, and competencies.
