Marketing & Social Media Coordinator (Part-Time, 20 hours/week) Reporting to the Associate Director, Employer Engagement & Operations the Marketing & Social Media Coordinator actively supports a -student-centered operation which serves an undergraduate and graduate population pursuing degrees in engineering, the sciences, business and management, the humanities, and the fine arts. The Marketing & Social Media Coordinator is responsible for executing marketing activities to increase student engagement in career center events and programs.

  • Maintain the annual social media content and event marketing calendar.
  • Collaborate with the career advising and employer engagement teams to create a cohesive marketing strategy.
  • Design fliers and effective print and email campaigns to communicate career center events and programs.
  • Use social and digital media to ensure students are aware of career center resources, events, and programs.
  • Update the career center's social media platforms and website using effective communication to engage undergraduate and graduate students.
  • Stay abreast of changing trends, including shifts in marketing outreach and social media.
  • Track marketing campaigns to identify and measure effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with the career center team to coordinate logistics for events and programs.
  • Provide support as needed for various projects, reports, research and events.
  • Support all career center events, as needed.
  • Provide administrative support, as needed.
  • Contributes to the overall success of the career center by performing other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications:
    • At least 1-3 years experience in event marketing.
    • A high level of professionalism with strong interpersonal, organizational, and customer service skills.
    • Ability to handle multiple tasks with ease.
    • Ability and willingness to occasional work evenings or weekends, as needed. Knowledge and Skills:
      • Possess an understanding of computer applications: proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint
      • Use of Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, Mailchimp or Constant Contact preferred.
      • Intermediate or advanced knowledge of social media platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, Twitter, and Facebook.
      • Intermediate or advanced knowledge of social media marketing and management platforms such as Hootsuite.
      • Experience using a career management system such as Handshake or Symplicity preferred, but not required. The Marketing & Social Media Coordinator position is a part-time, exempt role. The incumbent would be required to work up to 20 hours/week.
