You can be a part of providing this exceptional experience as a Mobility Operations Senior Associate. - -The opportunityThe Mobility Operations Senior Associate is responsible for providing counsel and assistance to the Mobility Counselors in the execution and administration of EY's internal mobility policies and programs. You will guide and provide relevant advice to stakeholders on financial matters related to US Domestic Mobility as well as other initiatives or project work. - -Your key responsibilities -You will connect with Domestic Mobility colleagues to understand the cyclical nature of the policies, programs, and business needs which provides context for validating and paying mobility expenses. As such, your key responsibilities will be:

  • Work closely with internal departments (e.g., Talent, Finance, Tax) for problem resolution
  • Expense reimbursement review against policy or program and data entry in the mobility software tool (Domestic and International Transfers)
  • Vendor invoice review against policy or program and preparation of payment requests (Domestic and International Transfers) which includes -
    • Entry in domestic mobility software tool -
    • Entry in Mercury tool with appropriate coding -
    • Liaise with vendors on outstanding invoices and/or inquiries
    • Process payroll uploads for domestic and international transferee expenses
    • Validate tax gross-up payments and data entry in mobility software tool
    • Mobility Direct Charge analysis and reconciliation which includes liaising with mobility counselors to validate completed files to clear balances
    • Prepare with and without analysis requests to vendor and provide results to the mobility counselor -
    • Review and prepare year-end relocation payment transferee summaries -
    • Testing and/or enhancements with mobility software tool
    • Ability to exercise judgement on issues or escalate to the appropriate individuals/leadership
    • Ability to explain expense processing or payroll related questions to transferees or mobility counselors
    • Understand tax implications and coding of payroll earnings codes used with frequent payroll submissions -
    • Prepare accurate expense summaries to capture all payments made to/for individuals who are separating, including validation between payroll and the mobility software tool
    • Assist mobility counselors and business with operational related questions, issues and research as needed -
    • Remain current on industry standards and mobility trends
    • Assist in the review of data and information maintained in knowledge tools (e.g., SharePoint)
    • Manage and update systems used to support mobility and data integrity
    • Identify process improvements/efficiencies
    • Ad hoc projects as needed -Skills and attributes for successYou will have the ability to understand a matrixed organization and communicate effectively to connect and drive things forward. You will have knowledge and experience in mobility at a large multinational firm and you are comfortable handling multi-layered issues and can navigate complex organizational structures effectively, even in times of ambiguity. You are someone with strong organizational skills, who is proficient at prioritizing and managing multiple, time-sensitive initiatives simultaneously. - -Desired skills for the role -
      • Ability to exercise judgement and discretion for resolving moderate to complex issues
      • Ability to explain expenses or payroll questions to transferee or mobility counselor
      • Strong knowledge and experience of mobility policies, processes, and systems
      • Good understanding of relevant tax legislation
      • Ability to build and maintain professional client, business, and transferee relationships -
      • Ability to prioritize work and manage workload in busy periods
      • Interpret and apply technical knowledge to a stakeholder's situation and develop an understanding of stakeholder's business environment and culture -
      • Ability to communicate effectively with service line leaders, Talent, and external vendors
      • Ability to use a software tool as well as other Mobility and relevant HR systems and knowledge tools, including maintaining and using systems efficiently -Ideally, you'll also have
        • Strong understanding of mobility assignments as it relates to the US firm
        • Competent at handling multiple tasks and projects concurrently
        • Customer service oriented with good team spirit
        • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including intercultural communication, interpersonal and influencing skills
        • Strong attention to detail
        • Good computer skills in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) -
        • Strong understanding of mobility assignments as it relates to the US firm
        • Ability to handle sensitive information in a confidential manner
        • Strong knowledge of payroll processing and IRS tax rules for mobility payments
        • Cultural awareness
        • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
