As the Chief of Staff, you will plan, direct, coordinate, and oversee operations activities in the organization, ensuring development and implementation of efficient operations and ensuring that the organization's performance and project goals stay on track. Oversight will be for multiple business units as follows:
-- Responsibilities:
-- Finance/Operations Oversees the day-to-day operations of the company Creates and manages the organization's--budget; must be comfortable with financial modeling and metrics Collaborates with executive leadership to develop and meet company goals while supplying expertise and guidance on projects and systems Ensures that all required departmental decisions and project plans align--with the organization's business plan and vision Analyzes market and competition and develops strategies to achieve organizational goals Identifies, recommends, and implements new processes and technologies to improve and streamline--processes Manages 3rd party relationships, to include accounting and audit partners. Collaborates with heads of all departments to carry out the organization's goals and objectives Presents periodic performance reports and metrics to the chief executive officer and other leadership Technical/Marketing Maintains and actively pursues knowledge of emerging technologies and trends in the industry Demonstrates ability to use / leverage online marketplaces and services to complement the team's expertise and skills capabilities Takes high quality content to potential partners and scale into a media campaign and strategy From a high level, leads software development to implement new features and--designs Understands sales processes (lead generation, automation) as well as the importance of digital marketing (i.e. social media)
Qualifications:
-- Required Skills / Abilities Minimum of 5--years' experience in leadership role in a similar industry Candidate with smaller company experience preferred, versus enterprise Able to use latest technologies to increase productivity Strong leadership and collaboration skills Displays original thinking and--creativity Is highly innovative and resourceful Thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment Knowledge of the principles, procedures, and best practices in the industry Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Working knowledge of QuickBooks or other accounting software By default, leverages--technology products and services to solve problems, such as--Upwork, Zapier, Fiverr, Videohusky, Canva, Fancyhands, Trello, Clickup, Superhuman, Google Suite, etc. This role might be for you if: You believe you should do today what others do tomorrow and are production minded You have an entrepreneurial background (preferred) You always thinks about how technology products or services can be used to solve a problem Currently, our client is virtual (due to Covid-19) with the intent to move the organization to the Newark or Jersey City-area; local candidates are preferred. They provide a flexible work arrangement and environment, although significant - but not 100 percent - in-person participation is still important to an organization of their size. Off-hours and remote work will become an option.
