do people. Role Summary: As Pearson continues its digital
transformation, an experienced Audit Director is needed to lead
independent assurance work for the organisation's technology
processes and major change programmes. As a member of the Internal
Audit Leadership Team (IALT), the job holder will be directly
accountable for building and sustaining Internal Audit's capability
in programme and change assurance techniques. The role is open to
candidates in either the UK or US. Working from home is an option,
but candidates will need to be willing and able to travel to either
the office in central London or Hoboken, New Jersey for team
meetings and other events. Overall, the domestic and international
travel requirement will be 15%. Essential duties and
responsibilities: Implement a strategy to develop and sustain
Internal Audit's capability in programme and change assurance,
including an effective audit approach to proactively cover the
risks of digital transformation. As part of the IALT, take full
accountability for determining and agreeing appropriate assurance
work to cover the key technology risks of and Pearson's major
change programmes, including those related to digital
transformation, and other assigned work. Work collaboratively with
other members of the IALT to utilise the department's resources
effectively and in line with Internal Audit priorities. Develop,
maintain, and leverage relationships with key stakeholders. Oversee
the execution of specific internal audit reviews and projects and
devise and negotiate practical and commercial recommendations to
improve business risk management in those areas under review. At
all times promote the highest level of ethics, independence and
integrity. Maintain complete confidentiality with regard to all
matters of corporate knowledge. Lead, motivate and develop IA team
members consistent with the department's vision and talent

process. Qualifications Qualifications required: Degree or
equivalent in Information Systems, Business, or other relevant
field. CISA or related certification required. CISSP, CISM or other
similar certifications a plus. Required experience: Proven
experience in a business services firm and / or large
organisation's internal audit/ risk department. Demonstrated
knowledge of risk assessment, internal audit standards and
techniques. Awareness of US and UK corporate governance and other
applicable regulatory frameworks. Knowledge of major control
frameworks e.g. COSO, CoBIT, ITIL, and ISO. Experience of assuring
large, complex change programmes and digital transformation
activity, ideally in a consumer business. Knowledge of project
management frameworks e.g. PRINCE2, Agile, CCPM. Understanding of
system development methodologies, IT operating systems, logical
security, disaster recovery planning, attack and penetration
testing controls, and e-commerce and digital platforms,
Demonstrated knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and
cloud computing environments. Required skills: Ability to grasp
complex business issues, develop and present innovative and
practical solutions. Capable of acting independently and
objectively, with the courage to constructively present
recommendations in potentially sensitive or contentious areas.
Excellent communication - both written and verbal and the ability
to tailor style/ content for the audience. Able to influence at all
levels, including senior leaders. Additional Information: - Pearson
